ABC Posturo-Logical Method Course® BASIC

“Back pain does NOT depend on the BACK” Dr. Gian Pietro Mainardi

BASIC COURSE: The Primary Descending Chain and the Lower Spirals.

This course forms the fundamental basis of the ABC Method®, focusing on the pelvis as the crucial hub for the union of descending and ascending forces in the human body. Students will explore in depth the lower spirals and points of major myofascial thickening, developing a detailed understanding of how these elements affect posture and musculoskeletal health.

Key topics of the course include:

  • Pelvis as Fundamental Fulcrum: Insight into the central role of the pelvis as a fulcrum for the forces acting in the body, providing a crucial conceptual basis for understanding the ABC Method®.
  • Inferior Spirals and Points of Myofascial Thickening: Detailed study of inferior spirals and points of major myofascial thickening, with a focus on connections and impacts on posture.
  • ABC® Dynamic Functional Assessment Techniques: Introduction to advanced dynamic functional assessment techniques, providing students with the tools needed to understand movement patterns and postural asymmetries.
  • Targeted Palpatory Anatomy: Insight into targeted palpatory anatomy to accurately identify muscle and joint asymmetries and dysfunction.
  • Treatment of Thickening Points: Learning ABC® manual techniques for the specific treatment of myofascial thickening points, enabling students to develop practical skills in dysfunctional management.
  • Development of Personalized Therapeutic Exercise: Exploration of strategies to develop personalized therapeutic exercises, considering the specific needs of each individual.

This course also includes a section on FixSit®

Using the Patented Proprioceptive FixSit® System: An in-depth introduction to FixSit®, the revolutionary “butt plantar.” This customized device offers a proprioceptive session tailored to each patient based on his or her unique postural physiology.

The FixSit® is designed to stimulate the live position of the ischial bones and sacrum during sitting posture. This targeted stimulation reduces strain on the spine during daily activity, helping to prevent and correct risk factors associated with chronic low back pain, recognized as the world’s leading occupational disease by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Students will learn how to integrate FixSit® into their therapeutic approaches, offering patients an innovative tool to support correct posture and prevent issues related to chronic low back pain.

This module provides a comprehensive overview of the basics of the ABC® Method along with an in-depth understanding of the practical application of FixSit®, contributing to the training of practitioners capable of advanced posture and musculoskeletal health challenges.

The founder of the abc® posturo-logical method.

Dr. Gian Pietro Mainardi

My desire is to bring patients and therapists to a deep awareness of natural posture and any asymmetries present, in a dynamic view of posture.

As a training I am a Physiotherapist, Osteopath with a Master’s degree in Manual Therapy and a Master’s degree in Posturology. In 2016, I decided to bring my entire career as a therapist together in one direction with the goal of offering patients a path to rapid and effective improvement: the ABC® Posturo-Logical Method.

Dr. gian pietro mainardi // founder

The idea I had behind the ABC® Posturo-Logical Method is that there is no point in treating the symptom, but we need to understand what is preventing the body from being well, that is, from functioning according to the principles of tensegrity. This is also the principle behind the medical device I designed: FixSit®, the world’s first system that can modify and correct sitting posture through a revolutionary orthosis.

When it comes to back pain, I want to dispel a myth: back pain is NOT dependent on the back.

ABC® Posturo-Logical Method training courses are aimed at health professionals, manual therapists and health professionals and are currently held throughout Italy, as well as abroad, in China-particularly Taiwan where there is a major FixSit® dealer, India, Canada, Mexico and Switzerland.
